What is a leased line is a common question, with leased line services becoming increasingly popular.
Essentially, a leased line is a dedicated internet connection that is provided exclusively for your organisation. This is very different to business broadband services, which can involve sharing resources with many users in your area.
Unlike typical business broadband - a leased line is delivered to you as a dedicated fibre optic cable to your premises that does not share resources with other users. For this reason it is often called a fibre leased line.
The leased line is then presented as an ethernet connection ready to connect to your internal network. A business leased line will typically provide the following benefits.
