Cisco Meraki Access Point Licensing
Subscription Licensing: Meraki subscription licensing is device agnostic, so you license a whole product category rather than a specific model or device. If you upgrade your device, the license moves with you. Crucially, only subscription licensing included 'amber mode' which means that the device still passes traffic after license expiry, albeit without dashboard management.
Co-Termination Licensing: With Meraki co-termination licensing, unlike other Cisco Meraki products the Meraki Access Point licensing is also category-wide (you do not need to individually license different devices or models). The end date of all Cisco Meraki licenses is co-terminated organisation wide. However, it does not offer 'amber mode'.
